Xarel·lo, macabeo and parellada ferment separately in stainless steel vats and, after malolactic fermentation, the assemblage is carried out seeking the balance and elegance that is the Juvé & Camps trademark. Only those wines that meet the criteria of freshness and primary character that we pursue in our house for these sparkling wines are part of Essential.

Once bottled, the second fermentation is carried out and aging begins in the tranquility and silence of our cavas, which will give rise to a fresh and bubbly sparkling wine.

Essential Púrpura spends at least 24 months in the bottle on its lees before it is ready to be enjoyed.

A tribute to the viticulture of Penedès

Essential Púrpura is a tribute to the viticulture of Penedès, where Juvé & Camps has been practicing it since 1796; it is an x-ray of their territories, a reflection of the honest communion between Juvé & Camps and the winegrowers with whom we have been working for a long time and who, like us, practice traditional and ecological viticulture. For this reason, making a sparkling wine that tastes of the most essential Penedès, with the three classic varieties of cava, is our way of giving them back the work they do throughout the year in the vineyard, and we do it the best we know how: with a wine that honestly transmit the nature of the Penedès.

Tasting notes

Pale yellow colour with bright sparkles. With a character of fresh white fruit and white flowers, with hints reminiscent of yeast and almonds. It stands out for its roundness and great balance between body and acidity. It is tasty, sweet, poised, fresh and lively.


Pairing

It is a perfect sparkling wine for after work, an aperitif or an unexpected meeting, the point of extravagance of a day that seemed destined to be just another. Combine it with eggs benedictine at brunch time, spaghetti cacio e peppe, salmon tartar with dill, vegetable tempura. And don't forget good company.
