This wine is born in the highlands of the Penedès - above 650 metres - at our family property of Mediona. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for which the soil and the micro-climate are particularly suitable. The colour of the wine is an intense ruby red. The aroma is typical of the variety and is enhanced by hints of spice from a year in French and American oak casks. Casa Vella d'Espiells is soft, round and velvety in the mouth with just enough soft tannin. Several years in bottle have helped to develop elegance, complexity and length. |
